Event data recorders may be mandatory for vehicles

By 2029, India’s ministry of road transport and highways is looking to enforce the installation of event data recorders in vehicles to enhance safety and decrease road accident rates. Additionally, from 2030, passenger vehicles will be required to feature advanced emergency braking systems.
